Barrow Dunn

Barrow Dunn ’27 is a sociology major with minors in statistics and English literature. She specialises in critical carceral studies and sex work studies, with focuses on the sex work-prison cycle, surveillance of the sex industry, and alternatives to incarceration.

Inspired by her own true crime guilty pleasure, this project allowed Barrow to explore how true crime media influences criminal justice, for better or for worse. She hopes to build a career using her skills in both writing and research to combat the inherent flaws of the American carceral system.

Brianna Perrigo

My name is Brianna Perrigo, and I am double majoring in Business and English in Creative Writing at St. Lawrence. Planning to earn my Master's in Business Administration, I aim to pursue a career in marketing administration after graduation from SLU. I am passionate about humanitarian efforts and intend to contribute my skill set to a humanitarian service organization once I enter the workforce.

Sage Kehr

Hello, my name is Sage Kehr and I am class of 2027 at St. Lawrence University. I am a Conservation Biology major and Native American Studies minor with a focus on marine and animal conservation. On campus, I am a member of the Campus Kitchens Projects, an Admissions Ambassador, member of the Jewish Student Union, Environmental Education Intern for Nature Up North, and apart of the Peace Corps Prep Program. Outside of school I love to spend my time outoors, be with my friends and family, and travel. 

Hailey Friedel

Hailey Friedel is a member of the Class of 2027 at St. Lawrence University. She is double majoring in Psychology and Environmental Studies. Hailey has worked at the Information Technology Student Help Desk along with an off-campus part-time cashier job. These experiences have helped her develop a strong background in customer service and communication. She is passionate about helping everyday people learn how they can protect the environment. In her free time, Hailey enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, and running. 

Sophia Wirtz

Sophia Wirtz ’27 is a Business and Global Studies double major with a minor in Public Health at St. Lawrence University. Her interests focus on nonprofit leadership, global health, and the ways organizations can improve access to care and support for families. During her internship with the Heartfelt Dreams Foundation, she contributed to fundraising, donor outreach, patient storytelling, scholarship review, and planning for the organization’s charity golf tournament.

Sid Pols

I'm a rising senior at St. Lawrence studying digital media and film and political science. I have a passion for sports videography and marketing. As the lead videographer for the universities men's hockey team I create video content that engage fans and showcase the program through social media. Through my media production career I have experience in video production, photography, branding and social media strategies. This past summer I interned with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball league, the premier collegiate summer league.

Logan Drino

My name is Logan Drino and I am a senior at St. Lawrence. I am majoring in Political Science and minoring in History. However, I first entered SLU as a biology major on a pre-med track with hope of becoming a physical therapist. But after a poor first semester, I decided that physical therapy is something I did not want to pursue. Instead I took the spring semester of my freshman year to figure out what I want to do. Eventually, I found a high interest in political science and history, even more so with the law. So, I started my journey down a path towards law school.

Matt Davis

Matt Davis is a Class of 2027 Neuroscience major and English minor at St. Lawrence University, originally from Barrington RI. He is actively involved within the SLU community working as a biology preparatory lab assistant, a volunteer at the Potsdam Humane Society, and a varsity athlete on the SLU baseball team. In the classroom, Matt maintains a strong GPA while developing positive relationships with his professors and fellow peers. He specifically has conducted research with Dr.

Meika Nadeau

Meika Nadeau '26 is from Tupper Lake, New York and is majoring in biomedical sciences and minoring in public health. She is interested in mechanisms that drive behavior and joined Dr Adam E. Fox's lab to explore techniques that analyze the relationships undermining impulsivity. This summer Meika investigated the effect of variable conditions on impulsive choice using a delay discounting task with rats.

Charlotte Blake

Charlotte Blake '27 is a student at St. Lawrence University studying Conservation Biology and Statistics. She plans to purse a research-based career studying and conserving (marine or forested) systems and wildlife. On campus, she competes for the Women's Cross Country and Track & Field teams, and is an avid member of SCUBA club. She loves spending time adventuring outdoors, meeting new people, and making art! She takes special interest in marine biology and film-making.

Lilia Estrada

Lilia Estrada is a rising senior, double majoring in Creative Writing and Digital Media and Film. Her stories often feature women and cover issues they face, whether that be in a futuristic cyberpunk metropolis, or in modern day New York City. Her passions in advocating for women are reflected in her works, as she hopes her stories can shed light during the current administration’s mission in keeping women in the dark. Her favorite author and feminist is Audre Lorde.

Peter Stubler

Peter Stubler is a student-athlete at St. Lawrence University, studying Chemistry and Mathematics as well as being a member of the varsity cross country and track and field teams. He was born in Andover, Massachusetts, attended Andover High School, where he fostered his love for athletics, as well as the sciences. He came into St. Lawrence University as a freshman initially majoring in mathematics. However it was during his sophomore year taking general chemistry where he developed his love for the field.

Ellie Potts

Hello! My name is Ellie Potts, I’m a rising senior from Arlington, VA. I am a chemistry and mathematics double major currently conducting research on iron-based complexes for use in redox flow batteries. As a 2026 summer fellow, I have been working in Dr. Oldacre’s Lab working on synthesizing and analyzing electrochemical reversibility of iron-based complexes. Beginning in the fall I will continue this research looking at stability and applicability of these compounds and similar ones.

Aidan Begel

Aidan Begel is a rising senior in the Class of 2027. As a digital media and film major (and as someone who enjoys film), this project's ties to animation and cinema were deeply intriguing for them. The structure of this project as semi-independent has been a valuable experience that will stay with them following its completion. This writing and research has made them feel confident about future endeavors as well as encouraging a pursuit of additional writing/research projects. 

 

Eileen Carnes

Eileen Carnes '27 is a History and Art & Art History double major with minors in Asian Studies and European Studies at St. Lawrence University. She is interested in visual and material culture, museum studies, archives, and the ways art and history reveal the interconnectedness of past and present societies. After graduation, Eileen hopes to pursue a career in curatorial, archival, or educational work, where she can foster a deeper understanding of human values, beliefs, and cultural heritage through historical and artistic interpretation.

Ibrahim Thamir Mohamed Hashim '27 is a History and Biology major at St. Lawrence University whose academic interests include world history, with a particular focus on colonialism and its impacts on indigenous societies. His research examines the sociopolitical developments of Addu atoll during the British Era, focusing on how British military presence influenced its politics, economy and social dynamics.

Cooper Olney

Cooper Olney 27 is a Data Science major with a strong interest in combining data science and sports. His project connects to his coursework by exploring in-game win probability in NCAA men’s basketball through the development of predictive models and interactive visualizations. Cooper is interested in applying statistical and machine learning methods to better understand sports performance, strategy, and decision-making. He enjoys working on projects that combine data analysis, modeling, and communication to answer real-world questions.

Ruby Bradford

Ruby Bradford ’27 is a Global Studies and History double major, with minors in African and European Studies. Her passion for fostering international connections stems from ten years spent sailing around the world before relocating to Maine in 2020. Ruby has continued to build this global foundation by studying abroad in Kenya and the Netherlands, and conducting  research in Sweden as a SLU Fellow. These immersive experiences provide her with a unique perspective on how diverse national contexts shape responses to global challenges.
