Summer 2026
Description

As a Partnerships and Venue Operations Intern with the Martha's Vineyard Sharks of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, I collaborated with sponsors, community partners, and the game day operations team to execute engaging fan experiences and ensure successful event operations. I served as a primary point of contact for partners, coordinating communications through email, phone, text, and social media while managing the logistics needed to successfully bring promotional events to life on game days.

I worked closely with organizations including Lululemon, the YMCA, Cape Cod 5, Martha's Vineyard Center for Living, local first responders, and other community partners to plan and execute themed events and in game promotions. This included organizing sponsor appearances, coordinating first pitches and on field recognitions, overseeing event setup, and ensuring each partner had a positive and well executed experience.

One of my primary projects was leading the planning and execution of a Morgan's Message awareness night. I coordinated event logistics, ordered promotional merchandise, managed the event table, wrote and delivered the in game speech, organized the moment of silence, and worked with stadium staff to ensure the event ran smoothly. I also helped organize the Sharks' Women in Sports Night in partnership with Lululemon, coordinating communications, event logistics, fan activities, and on site execution.

Beyond partnerships, I supported all aspects of venue operations, assisting wherever needed to keep game days running efficiently in a fast paced, live event environment. This experience strengthened my ability to think quickly under pressure, communicate effectively across teams, adapt to changing situations in real time, and understand the countless behind the scenes details required to deliver a successful sporting event. It reinforced my passion for working in sports, seeing how rewarding it is to be a part of making the experience as fun and inviting as it is for all fans, and gave me valuable experience in partnerships, event operations, and fan engagement.
