Sofia Macero Piñango
Hola! I'm Sofia Macero Piñango. I'm from Venezuela, specifically from a little town called Los Teques. I am a really serious, and according to some, mean person, who at the same time happens to be a funny and happy tiny Venezuelan. My music, food, and traditions are a part of me that I learned to embrace after studying at UWC Mostar, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for two years. There, I learned what the real meaning of being Latino was and the power our entire culture holds.
Mariam Waqar Khattak
Projects
My name is Mariam. I am a current senior from Pakistan majoring in Global Studies with a minor in English. I love travelling and have been fortunate enough to get the opportunity to travel and live in different countries in both high school and university. Before coming to St. Lawrence, I studied in Changshu, China (around 1.5 hours from Shanghai) where I got to meet people from all around the world, study Chinese history and culture, and learn Mandarin. While in St. Lawrence, I did two semesters off campus; Bordeaux during Spring 2020 and London in Spring 2022.
