My name is Evan Widrick, and I am a member of the Class of 2027 at St. Lawrence University. I am from Adams, New York, and graduated from South Jefferson High School, where I was a member of the National Honor Society. At St. Lawrence, I play on the Men’s Soccer team and am majoring in Government, with plans to attend law school after graduation.


 

Nikola Timmerman

Nikola Timmerman '27 is a SLU student majoring in Anthropology. He is the Vice President of SLU's Anthropology club, as well as one of the Presidents of KSLU Radio. He has always had an interest in history and archaeology, reading about cultures from all over the world in his free time. The excavation at the Green Fort provided a way for him to combine those interests as well as further his academic career. After graduation, he plans to continue on to study a Masters degree in archaeology, possibly pursuing a career in archaeology in the Irish landscape. 

Aaryesha Subedi

Aaryesha is currently pursuing a major in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics as a part of the 3+2 engineering program. She previously worked as an intern on campus for the research & instructions department of ODY Library and served as the President of Asia Club. She has cultivated a diverse set of interests within the technical field ranging from software engineering, artificial intelligence and data science. She envisions herself contributing to an organization that values innovation, collaboration, and community impact.

Bailey Smith

Bailey Smith ’27 is a Finance major with a Math minor interested in how economics connects with politics and public policy. She interned with the American Legislative Exchange Council, where she worked on policy research and analysis. Through her internship, Bailey has researched central banking, global investment, and how financial systems influence government decisions. These experiences have shaped her interest in the link between markets and policy. She plans to pursue a career in government, finance, or policy analysis.

Inna Saribekyan

I was born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia. After graduating from UWC Dilijan, I continued my education at St. Lawrence University, where I am majoring in Psychology and Political Science with a minor in Spanish. At St. Lawrence, I have also pursued international opportunities, including a study abroad program in Europe, which broadened my perspective on cultural diversity and global education.

Norah Niesz

Norah Niesz is a member of the class of 2027 at St. Lawrence University. She graduated from Greenwich Junior/Senior High School in Greenwich, New York. At St. Lawrence, Norah is working towards a degree in Biomedical Sciences while being a member of the women’s basketball team. From an early age, Norah was interested in medicine. To gain experience, Norah worked as a patient care associate at Glens Falls Hospital in Glens Falls, New York in the summer of 2024. During the summer of 2025, she conducted research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (Hillman Cancer Center).

Finn Murphy is a junior student-athlete at St. Lawrence University with a double major in political science and business with a minor in sports studies and exercise science while being a member of the football team. Along with his academics and athletes he works as the creative brand strategist for the SLU Women’s Hockey Team and a content creator, marketer, and social media manager for Saints Athletics.

Alessandro Lapentti Grunstein

I’m currently a junior at SLU majoring in Biochemistry. Originally from Ecuador, I’ve had the opportunity to live in four other countries, which has given me a diverse perspective. At SLU, I’ve been actively involved in several roles that reflect both my academic interests and my passions. I’ve served as Vice President of La Sociedad, worked as a first responder with SLU EMS, been a biology teaching assistant, and also worked as an admissions intern. These roles have helped me grow both personally and professionally.

My name is Jonah Klingler, and I’m a junior at St. Lawrence University, double-majoring in Digital Media and Business. I’ve always been passionate about the outdoors, and over time, I found a true calling in videography, photography, and storytelling. For me, there’s nothing more rewarding than capturing someone’s experience in a way that allows them to relive it, and hold onto it as part of their memory.

Eleanor Kenyon

Nora Kenyon is a student of the class of 2027 at St. Lawrence University. She is double-majoring in Psychology and English with a focus on creative writing. Nora has been involved with St. Lawrence's student-run newspaper, The Hill News, since 2023, working as a News Section Editor and Managing Editor. She is also a member of Campus Kitchens Project at SLU. Nora is interested in pursuing a career in journalism or publishing. In her free time, she enjoys reading and staying active outdoors. 

Luke Hughes

My name is Luke Hughes, and I'm a junior from Pelham, New York, pursuing a double major in business and finance. For high school, I attended Waterville Valley Academy. I'm also an active member of Beta Theta Pi on campus. This past summer, I interned at The Space in Denver, Colorado, where I gained valuable skills and hands-on experience that will support my goal of building a successful career in finance after graduation.

Hazel Howard

My name is Hazel and I am a Business and Environmental Economics Double Major at St. Lawrence University, originally from Cambridge, VT. I went to high school at Green Mountain Valley School in Waitsfield, Vermont, where I skied for 4 years on the FIS circuit before continuing my academic and collegiate ski racing career here at SLU. I am driven by my love for the outdoors and environmental advocacy, and I hope to find a career in sustainability to help businesses with their environmental initiatives.

I am a biology major with a minor in sports studies and exercise science, pursuing a career in strength and conditioning. Currently, I am interning at St. Lawrence as an assistant strength coach, working with several teams on campus. When I am not coaching or training, I like to participate in the St. Lawrence Sailing Club, of which I am a secretary, and play golf. I am from Summit, New Jersey, and grew up playing Ice hockey and Lacrosse, I spend the summer with my grandparents on the New Jersey Shore where I grew up sailing and eventually worked as a sailing coach for 4 years.

Velma Monteiro is a junior majoring in Finance and Business with a minor in Communications. Her interests in the finance and business sector are diverse ranging from banking, financial literacy, private equity, financial and managerial accounting, corporate finance, and administration and management. She has nurtured a background in regulatory and policy analysis, compliance monitoring, strategic evaluation and research-reporting skills with the Central Bank of Timor-Leste (BCTL, in official language) as a Finance Intern.

My name is Sophye Davey, and I am from Darien, Connecticut. I am pursuing a double major in history and political science with a strong interest in historical preservation and using digitization to make history more accessible. My local history has shaped my sense of identity, and I am committed to helping others connect with their own communities' pasts in meaningful ways.

Ella D'Andreano

Ella D'Andreano '27 is a English and Environmental Studies double major, with a focus on sustainability at the community level. Her academic interests lie at the intersection of environmental advocacy and storytelling, using writing as a tool to promote awareness and action. They have experience researching local sustainability initiatives and translating complex environmental topics into published articles for broader audiences both for information and advocacy.

Violet Bisset

My name is Violet Bisset and I am currently a junior at St. Lawrence University. I am majoring in Conservation Biology and minoring in Geology. On campus, I am a member of the women's rowing team, student president of the tree campus committee, secretary of the SLU birding club, and a member of the humane society. I love getting off campus to go on hikes in the Adirondacks, and am a fan of anything outdoors. I hope to pursue a career in conservation.

Lauren Bier is a Biomedical Science and Psychology double major with a minor in Chemistry at St. Lawrence University, originally from Watertown, NY. She is actively involved on campus as the Vice President of the Advocates, the Risk Manager of Kappa Delta Sigma, the Secretary of the Pre-Health Club, and the Recruitment Chair for Ducks Unlimited. Academically, she maintains a strong GPA while serving as a Chemistry Teaching Assistant, helping other students succeed in challenging coursework.

Neva Bettinger

Neva Bettinger is a Biology major with a minor in Sports Studies and Exercise Science. As a first-generation college student, she is motivated to excel academically while preparing for a career in physical therapy. She is also a member of Tri-Alpha Honor Society, which recognizes and supports first-generation student achievement. On campus, Neva is a Thrive Mentor, Vice President of the Agape Christian Club, and a member of the Pre-Health Club. She also contributes as a teaching assistant for General Biology and General Chemistry, and works as a student athletic trainer.

Bronte Beck

Bronte Beck '27 is a Biomedical Sciences major and aspiring physician with a strong interest in rural and pediatric medicine. On campus, she is a varsity athlete on the St. Lawrence University Riding Team and serves as a teaching assistant in the General Biology laboratory. Additionally, Bronte is gaining real-world experience through an internship partnership with St. Lawrence University and Canton-Potsdam Hospital in Canton, NY, where she works as a Health Coach, supporting a chronically ill client in achieving their health goals.
