Mercandu Data Team
During my internship at Elaniin Tech Company, I collaborated with the data analysis team on Mercandu, the largest e-commerce platform in Central America. My primary responsibility was to leverage PowerBI for developing advanced visualizations and interactive dashboards, which involved handling large datasets and performing rigorous data cleaning to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
I also contributed to a significant project where we used Retool to design and implement a data access tool. For this project, I applied MySQL and SQL queries to manage and query data efficiently, which facilitated the development of the tool and streamlined data retrieval and reporting processes.
Additionally, I conducted price comparison studies to determine effective discount strategies. By analyzing competitive pricing data and evaluating discount performance, I created detailed reports that informed promotional decisions and optimized discount codes. This comprehensive experience allowed me to apply data science techniques in real-world scenarios, enhancing both my technical skills and understanding of e-commerce dynamics.
Through this experience, I gained hands-on knowledge in data manipulation, visualization, and the practical application of data science. I also developed a foundational understanding of MySQL and SQL principles, which were essential for creating effective data tools and improving overall data management practices.
