Hanna Nelson

Hanna Nelson is an international student at St. Lawrence University, she is in the class of 2027 and she is from Kerala, also known as "God's own country" - a state in the south of India. Hanna would like to major in Psychology also she is interested in Government studies. As a person who grew up in a huge diverse country - in religions as well as in languages which is more than 100, Hanna has learned to accept others' opinions and respect others' beliefs from a small age.

Haley Sundstrom

Haley Sundstrom is a history major, government minor and a member of the pre-law program at SLU. She is especially interested in modern American history and international relations. On campus, Haley is a member of the women's lacrosse team, club soccer and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. During the Fall 2023 semester, she is studying abroad in Spain and working to become fluent in Spanish.

Eugenia Fernanda Leon Canseco

Fernanda is originally from Oaxaca, Mexico. Throughout her life she has developed a strong passion for social justice, feminism, public health and education. Therefore, she completed her undergraduate degree in Global Studies, specializing in Governance and Education at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, USA. One of her dreams is to be able to work towards creating a more gentle, just, and conscious reality for future generations.

John Mahoney

I am a student at St. Lawrence University pursuing a bachelor's degree in economics and a minor in government. I have experience interning at a financial servicing firm as well as a legal and consulting firm. I am passionate about politics, law, the outdoors, sports, and the Buffalo Bills. I am open to any conversations as I look to expand my professional network and gain insight from experienced profesionals.

Andrew Miller

I am a first year student at Københavns Universitet pursing an M.S.c in climate change and recently graduated from St. Lawrence University summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Studies. I have a strong interest in climate change, biodiversity, international affairs, and the connections between all three. have extensive work experience with environmental nonprofit organizations from conducting ecological research and managing invasive species with a small land conservancy to serving as a manager for a UN affiliated environmental NGO.

Jackson Hamilton

Jackson Hamilton '23 is a Sociology major minoring in Government with an interest in pursuing both politics and political science. After graduating from St. Lawrence, he is interested in pursuing a master's degree in the area of Public Policy, which he is hoping will give him a clearer picture of the political world we live in, as well as a better idea of career paths within the area of politics and political science. 

Morgan Cleary

Morgan Cleary is a current senior and member of the class of 2023 at St. Lawrence. She is currently majoring in Psychology with a variety of minors. After completing her degree, she hopes to further her education by attending graduate school. As for a career, she is passionate about evaluating and researching developmental disorders in young children, however, is still open to a wide range of possibilities.

Timur Martinez Smirnov

Tim is a senior double majoring in Economics and Business, minoring in Government. This summer he worked as an Exchange Generalist Intern at IEX Exchange. Before joining IEX, he was an Investment Strategy Intern at Neuberger Berman, and a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst Intern at KK Capital Partners. He participated in two off-campus programs in London and NYC, in Fall 2021 and Spring 2022, respectively. Tim is also a North American chess champion, and six times national Olympic medalist.

 

John (Jack) Roemischer

I am a junior at St. Lawrence University pursuing a BA majoring in Economics and minoring in Government. A graduate of Xavier High School in New York City. After completing my internship this past summer as a Legal Intern at Recycle Track Systems, I am eager and looking to intern summer of '23 in either finance, banking, or sales. 

James Barrow

I grew up in Johannesburg South Africa and went to boarding school for my high school years. Growing up in Africa was an amazing experience and I really developed a love for the outdoors. In South Africa, I spoke mostly English and a bit of Afrikaans. I have a twin sister and a younger brother. My dad is the director of a real estate and construction business in Johannesburg and my mom is a stay-at-home mom with a huge passion for the outdoors.
