Lily Welch

Lily Welch, St. Lawrence University class of 2026, is a sociology major and education minor from Thetford, Vermont. On campus, she is a member of Campus Kitchens and Letters of Love, both of which she really enjoys! In the spring of 2024, she studied abroad in Kenya where she explored their country, interacted with locals, and much more. During her time in Kenya, she interned at community based organization, which is a survivor led human rights organization that has three shelters for survivors of sexual exploitation and abuse.

Violet Schwartz

Violet Schwartz is a student at St Lawrence University in the class of 2025. She is completing a major in Anthropology and Studio Art and a minor in Education Studies. Violet is a St Lawrence University Outing Club member and spends much of her time in the Adirondack Mountains. This has sparked an interest in understanding the natural environment and ecosystems of the North Country and understanding how to support them.

Eugenia Fernanda Leon Canseco

Fernanda is originally from Oaxaca, Mexico. Throughout her life she has developed a strong passion for social justice, feminism, public health and education. Therefore, she completed her undergraduate degree in Global Studies, specializing in Governance and Education at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, USA. One of her dreams is to be able to work towards creating a more gentle, just, and conscious reality for future generations.

Alexandria Szabo

My passion in educational psychology is driven by my desire to help the forces that are pushing for social and emotional learning (SEL) to be integrated into U.S. public school curriculum. Connecting with my younger self I imagine the impact such an education (SEL) could have had on my experience. In a world that is rapidly changing due to climate change and growing technology, why aren't we equipping young children with the skills to be emotionally competent, socially aware, resilient, and motivated. Instead, public U.S.

Rosie Gotsch

Hi there! My name is Rosie Gotsch and am from Beverly, MA. I'm graduating from St. Lawrence University in December 2022. My Summer Research Fellowship project combines my studies at St. Lawrence as well as my career aspirations. I am an Environmental Studies- Sociology combined major and Education minor. After graduation, I want to pursue a career in sustainable architecture/development and focus on bringing affordable and environmentally sustainable homes to low-income neighborhoods.

Morgan Cleary

Morgan Cleary is a current senior and member of the class of 2023 at St. Lawrence. She is currently majoring in Psychology with a variety of minors. After completing her degree, she hopes to further her education by attending graduate school. As for a career, she is passionate about evaluating and researching developmental disorders in young children, however, is still open to a wide range of possibilities.

Grace Brouillette

Grace Brouillette, class of 2023 of St. Lawrence University (SLU), is an environmental studies major and an educational studies minor. She is heavily involved in SLU's select chamber choir, the Laurentian Singers, as well as her work-study at the WORD Studio, SLU's communication center. She is one of three student assistant directors at the WORD Studio and has been working there since the beginning of her sophomore year. For her final year at SLU, she will be living in the Arts Annex, a theme house dedicated to the celebration of music and performing arts!

Angeles Zuniga Medina

Ángeles Zúñiga is a candid human rights advocate from Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela. She graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2022, with a major in Global Studies and a double minor in Film and Education. She is also a UWC ISAK Japan alumna, Semester at Sea alumna, and Davis Scholar. During her entire senior year, Ángeles enrolled in the Career Services Internship Course, and was a Detained Units Intern for the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project.

Paige Meshcon

Paige Meshcon is a part of the class of 2023 and is double majoring in English and Psychology, with an Education minor. Her research combines all her areas of study, as she explores both the subject area of English and the psychological developments students experience during high school. After graduating from St. Lawrence, Meshcon plans to earn her masters of teaching, with the intention of becoming a high school English teacher.

Ngoc Tan

Ngoc Tan ‘23 grew up in Vietnam and graduated from the International School Ho Chi Minh City. At St. Lawrence, Ngoc is a double Philosophy and Psychology major. She is currently a teaching assistant for Reasoning, a student worker at IT Help Desk, and has worked as a Peer Tutor since her sophomore year. After graduation, Ngoc plans to enroll in a Master’s degree in Education.

Allison Krauss

Allison Krauss is a part of the class of 2021. As a senior majoring in biochemistry and with minors in educational studies and mathematics, she hopes to use this project as a stepping stone to getting her masters in Adolescent Education with a chemistry focus, so she can teach high school chemistry. This project has helped introduce her to the process of making educational videos that have become very popular due to recent events.
