Lily Welch, St. Lawrence University class of 2026, is a sociology major and education minor from Thetford, Vermont. On campus, she is a member of Campus Kitchens and Letters of Love, both of which she really enjoys! In the spring of 2024, she studied abroad in Kenya where she explored their country, interacted with locals, and much more. During her time in Kenya, she interned at community based organization, which is a survivor led human rights organization that has three shelters for survivors of sexual exploitation and abuse. After returning home, she began an internship at the Upper Valley Haven, a private non-profit that aims to decrease food insecurity and homelessness. While she is not exactly sure what she wants to do post graduation, she knows it will have something to do with helping others!
