Carmiña Goya

Carmiña Goya (25') from Resistencia, Chaco, Argentina is pursuing a major in Studio Art, accompanied by a minor in Performance and Communication Arts. Her chosen field of study revolves around the art of printmaking, specifically focusing on linocut, woodcuts, drypoints, and screenprinting. In the future, Carmiña intends to return to her homeland to apply the knowledge and skills she has acquired during her time in the United States. Carmiña's goal is to gain a deeper understanding of the artistic scene and history of Latin America in the context of graphic arts.

Beth Colello

Beth joined the University Advancement team in April 2018 as the Director of Donor Relations. Her previous experience includes serving as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Clarkson University and as Executive Director of the Thousand Islands Art Center in Clayton, NY. Beth also worked in various sales and marketing roles for over ten years.

Beth graduated from St. Lawrence in 1995 with a B.A. in Fine Arts and Economics. While a student, she participated in the Vienna, Austria program.

Michael Yirenkyi

Michael K. Yirenkyi '22 has a major in Art & Art History and a minor in geology. His interests are in architecture and design and he aspires to work in the industry. His curiosity to challenge the accepted design of our built environments led him to pursue this summer project to explore how space impacts our experiences, habits and behaviours, and our views in life. This is what architectural phenomenology is about. After completing this summer project, he continues to read literature on the topic and is looking to pursue these interests in a graduate program next fall.

Alejandra Altamirano Salazar

Alejandra Altamirano Salazar is a rising senior at St. Lawrence University. Originally from Costa Rica, she is pursuing a double major in Studio Art and Environmental Studies and a minor in Caribbean and Latin American Studies. Altamirano's interests revolve around sustainability, food systems and advocacy, and the intersection of both the artistic and environmental disciplines. Altamirano is a United World College Costa Rica '19 and Global Citizen Year Program '20 alumni. 

Yidi Zhang

Yidi Zhang is the Class of 2021, majored in Art & Art History, specifically focused on Painting and Printmaking. She come from Taiyuan, Shanxi, China. As a Chinese, she likes to tap the elements of traditional Chinese culture as her creating inspirations. After graduation, she plans to have a short break to figure out her direction and then continue the study of MFA in painting and printmaking. Her ideal is to be an independent artist, combining the Eastern and Western culture in her artworks and bridging East-West cultural exchanges.
