My name is Kynaat Beg, and I'm an international student from Islamabad, Pakistan. I am in the Class of 2029 and hope to pursue a combined major in Political Science and Environmental Studies, with a double major in Economics.

For high school, I attended a boarding school in Hong Kong and then took a gap year, during which I traveled to over 10 countries. I got to swim with dolphins in the Brazilian Amazon and see the great mosques of Turkey. It was truly a life-changing experience.

George Persinger is a Class of 2029 Economics major at St. Lawrence University, originally from Darien, CT. He is actively involved within the SLU community as a member of the varsity lacrosse team, balancing a full academic course load with a year-round Division III athletic schedule that has sharpened his time management, discipline, and ability to work toward shared goals within a high-performance team culture.

Xavino Pacule ‘29, from Massinga, Mozambique, graduated from the United World College of Southern Africa - Eswatini in 2025. Xavino is pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Economics, with aspirations in Software Engineering and Quantitative Trading. He participated as a talent in Unleash Rwanda, where he designed solutions to address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and interned in the area of technology at Baphumelele Home Shelter, South Africa. Such experiences have driven his eagerness to pursue a STEM-related major. After joining St.

I am a rising senior at St. Lawrence University from Connecticut, pursuing a double major in Economics and Psychology. I am passionate about the business side of sports and enjoy exploring how markets, media, technology, and consumer behavior continue to shape the industry. 

My name is Josh Mason, and I'm a senior from Canton, CT, studying Economics and Political Science. Outside the classroom, I'm active in student government, work as an Admissions Ambassador, and am a member of a fraternity on campus. I'm pursuing a career in public policy, with a particular interest in how economic incentives shape legislation.

Liyandza Magongo, class of 2029, is majoring in Statistics and Economics with a strong interest in risk assessment, financial analysis, and the insurance industry. Liyandza is passionate about using statistics, data, and economic principles to understand uncertainty and support informed decision-making across areas such as financial, property, and casualty risk. Liyandza has developed an appreciation for how data-driven analysis and effective project execution can work together to solve complex business challenges.

Blake Foster '29 is a Computer Science and Economics double major at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. He is drawn to technical systems and economic decision-making, with an interest in artificial intelligence and how it can be applied to real-world problems. As a hands-on learner, Blake enjoys taking complex systems apart to understand them. He values clear thinking and gravitates toward projects that reward curiosity and careful problem-solving.

McKenna Lee was originally a part of the Class of 2028, but will be graduating in December 2027. She is a economics and Spanish double major and a political science minor. She is interested in developmental economics, international relations and the European Union (EU). These interests led to her studying abroad in Spain for the 2026-2027 academic year and completing her Summer 2026 research project. On campus, she is president of Women in Economics, a member of the Chi Omega sorority, and a club representative in the Thelomathesian Society (student government).

Clyde Swann is currently a senior at St. Lawrence University, majoring in Economics and minoring in Political Science. On campus, he is a member of Alpha Tau Omega and part of the Crown Royalties Investment Club and Music Appreciation Club. He is from York, Maine, and is passionate about skiing, hiking, surfing, and working out. He hopes to pursue a career in sales, specifically real estate brokerage, upon his graduation from SLU. 

Martí '28 is pursuing a major in Economics and Business with a minor in Chinese Studies at St. Lawrence University. He is from Barcelona, Spain, and also spent two years in Hong Kong completing the International Baccalaureate diploma at United World College. Living in such diverse parts of the world has given him a global perspective and strengthened his adaptability and cross-cultural understanding.

My name is Ryan McCausland, and I am in the graduating class of 2028 at St. Lawrence University and am a member of the baseball team. I am from Wellesley, Massachusetts, and graduated from Wellesley High School in 2024 where I was in the National Honors Society. I plan on majoring in Economics, and hope to work in sports in the future. 

My name is Cam Croasdaile ’26, I'm an Economics and Business double major at St. Lawrence University, and a captain of the Men’s Lacrosse team. My academic and professional interests center on financial markets and investments. I plan to pursue a career in finance, with a focus on investment strategy, business development, or data-driven solutions.

I am Hishi Choden Bista, originally from Kathmandu, Nepal. I am currently pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Economics, with a strong interest in the field of fintech. I’m fascinated by how technology is transforming finance and opening up new possibilities for innovation in global markets.

Outside of academics, I love traveling and discovering new cultures. Trekking is one of my favorite activities, as it allows me to connect with nature and challenge myself in new ways. I also enjoy painting, which gives me a creative outlet to express my ideas and inspirations.

Evangeline Norman '26 is an Economics and Global Studies major concentrating in Global Development with particular interest in education and political economy. Her research into the contemporary relevance of the Ingenious Residential School System in North America addresses these numerous interests. Her research over the course of summer 2025, which explores the relationship between the Indigenous Residential School System and national identity, is the first phase of her honors thesis in Global Studies which is to be completed in Spring 2026.

Alissa Lapentti is an Economics and Political Science major with a Statistics minor, graduating in 2027. Her Ecuadorian and European background, along with six years living in Kenya and Tanzania, sparked her passion for sustainability, development, and international policy.

Emma Caffrey, ’26, is from Duxbury, Massachusetts, and is double majoring in Economics and Psychology with a minor in Statistics. She is interested in behavioral decision-making research that bridges economic theory and experimental psychology. As a student researcher in Dr. Adam E. Fox's lab, Emma is conducting a multi-phase experiment to investigate the effects of experience and maturation on impulsive choice-making, specifically in a delay-discounting task with rats.

My name is Berkeley Chamberlain, I grew up on the west coast of the US and now live and go to school in the northeast. I will graduate St Lawrence in 2027. I am studying economics with a specific interest in global economics. I had an internship in Vietnam, and I have a semester abroad in Spain fall 2025 that will help me follow these interests. I want to learn about marketing and economics in different regions across the world.

Hello everyone!

Kristina Bahl completed her B.A. at St Lawrence in 2024 with a BUSLA and economics double major and a minor in communications. Kristina was the 2023 Richardson scholarship (economics department) recipient and one of the 2024 Tanner Fellowship recipients. Kristina played D1 hockey at St Lawrence and this summer, with the help of the Tanner Fellowship, Kristina completed a 3-week project in the Philippines in which she and five other girls brought the game of hockey to several underprivileged communities.

I am Sirus Minovi. I am a senior at St Lawrence University studying psychology and economics. I am a member of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior Lab run by Dr. Adam E. Fox. I also play Valorant as a member of the Varsity E-Sports program. And a little bit of time I have left I play for a club Ultimate Frisbee team and participate in in the Student-Athlete organizations SAAC and Athletes-4-Athletes.

Hello! My name is Ravi Pavana and I am currently a third year at St. Lawrence University. My hometown lies in Davis, CA and I hold a strong passion for sports. My goals are to learn more and build skills that will help me enjoy life to the fullest.

Caroline Mower is a rising junior from Lake Forest, Illinois double majoring in philosophy and economics. She is heavily involved on campus as a member of the Golf team, Kappa Delta Sigma and Letters of Love Club. She plans on continuing to advance her studies and research skills by executing an independent study on modal logic her junior year and a research project on the effectiveness of economic models her senior year. Post-grad, she hopes to attend law school. 

Inci Ilkay Ucar is part of the Class of 2026. She is an Economics and Computer Science double major and Mathematics minor from Turkey and a Davis Scholarship Recipient. She graduated from UWC East Africa in Moshi, Tanzania. She was the former Systemic Examining Bias Incident Chair in Thelomathesian Society and currently serving as the Vice President of University Relations. She works in the Student Center as a Student Activities Assistant. She completed an IT and marketing internship in Istanbul at Tahincioglu construction firm during her sophomore summer.

I am Tim Kashkarov '26, born and raised in Russia. I am an alumnus of the UWC of the Atlantic and currently majoring in Statistics and Economics. I am planning to continue my career in IT after graduation.
