International Business Development Intern - Young Happy
Support
My role as an International Business Development Intern at Young Happy in Bangkok was an experience that enriched my understanding of global business dynamics. Driven by my family’s business legacy and my own ambition to excel in the field, I chose Bangkok for its dynamic market environment and the opportunity to work with a pioneering social enterprise. Young Happy, dedicated to fostering a supportive community for seniors, allowed me to see how business strategies can effect meaningful social change. My responsibilities included identifying growth opportunities in international markets, conducting market research, and developing strategic plans for expansion. This role reinforced my belief in the power of business to transform society, particularly in enhancing the lives of the elderly and shifting societal perceptions.
Beyond professional growth, my time in Thailand was also a period of personal development. I embarked on my first solo trip to Chiang Mai, fulfilling a long-held dream of visiting an elephant sanctuary. This experience was not only a personal milestone but also a reminder of the importance of pursuing passions and embracing new challenges.
Overall, this internship was more than a career-building opportunity; it was a profound journey that broadened my horizons and deepened my dedication to integrating social impact with business. The lessons learned during this time will guide me as I continue to blend business acumen with a commitment to creating positive change in the world. I cannot wait to see the lessons I learnt come into play during my time at the university.
