Finn Murphy is a junior student-athlete at St. Lawrence University with a double major in political science and business with a minor in sports studies and exercise science while being a member of the football team. Along with his academics and athletes he works as the creative brand strategist for the SLU Women’s Hockey Team and a content creator, marketer, and social media manager for Saints Athletics.

Abby Gallas, Class of 2028, is an intending on majoring in Biology with an SSES minor, she has a strong interest in exercise science and sports performance. I am a biology major with a minor in sports studies and exercise science, pursuing a career in strength and conditioning. Currently, I am interning at St. Lawrence as an assistant strength coach, working with several teams on campus. When I am not coaching or training, I like to participate in the St. Lawrence Sailing Club, of which I am a secretary, and play golf. I am from Summit, New Jersey, and grew up playing Ice hockey and Lacrosse, I spend the summer with my grandparents on the New Jersey Shore where I grew up sailing and eventually worked as a sailing coach for 4 years.

Neva Bettinger

Neva Bettinger is a Biology major with a minor in Sports Studies and Exercise Science. As a first-generation college student, she is motivated to excel academically while preparing for a career in physical therapy. She is also a member of Tri-Alpha Honor Society, which recognizes and supports first-generation student achievement. On campus, Neva is a Thrive Mentor, Vice President of the Agape Christian Club, and a member of the Pre-Health Club. She also contributes as a teaching assistant for General Biology and General Chemistry, and works as a student athletic trainer.

Lane Haehl

Lane Haehl '25, is from Old Forge, New York, where she graduated as Valedictorian from Town of Webb UFSD in 2021. She is majoring in International Economics - Francophone Studies and Business, minoring in Sports Studies, and is interesting in pursuing a career in sports entertainment. During her time at SLU, she played for the Women's Golf team, is the student assistant coach for the Volleyball team, and has completed multiple internships regarding sports journalism, broadcasting, and media. Additionally, Lane has been inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa and Chi Sigma Alpha honor societies.

Hannah Van Dyke

I am currently a junior at St. Lawrence University, where I am a double major in Business & Psychology with a minor in Sports studies and Exercise Science. I am interested in the business of marketing, particularly in the sports industry. When I am not studying, I love to stay active, do puzzles, be with friends, and play basketball as I am also on the Women’s Basektball team here at SLU.

I am a member of the 2025 class at St. Lawrence University, and I plan to attend physical therapy school following graduation. I have experience as an intern in the field, spanning performing arts, geriatric and general populations. My interests in the performing arts carry into my passion for dance, which I hope to carry into my future career. I aspire to work with dancers and Broadway performers. My experience at SPEAR physical therapy has enabled me to begin my journey on the pathway to becoming a performing arts physical therapist.

I am originally from Concord, NH where I graduated from St. Paul's School in 2023. I have an older sister and a younger brother. At St. Lawrence, I am a member of the men's lacrosse team. Off the field, I enjoy music and am an avid golfer. I currently work as a pro shop attendant at the SLU golf course during the school year. My ultimate career goal is to be a collegiate or prep-school lacrosse coach. Lacrosse has played an incredibly important role in my life and I want to give back to the game as much as it has given to me.

Brenden O'Neil

Brenden O'Neil '25 majoring in Finance with a minor in Sports Studies and Exercise Science. Professional goals include working within athletic departments and professional sports franchises, making an impact on sales, financial decisions, and corporate partnerships. Completed internships within both the St. Lawrence University athletic department and the Buffalo Bisons, AAA team of the Toronto Blue Jays. Has worked within multiple departments, including sales, ticketing, customer services, and merchandise.

Charles VonOehsen

Born and raised in New Canaan, Connecticut. Attended New Canaan public schools until sophomore year of high school, where I then transferred to King School in Stamford, Connecticut. Currently enrolled at St. Lawrence University, studying business, digital film/media with a minor in sports studies. I also am a member of the men's varsity basketball team at SLU. My passion for basketball and sports not only has had a heavy influence on my life, but also desired career path. It has lead me to work as a basketball trainer for camps, group and private training for players of all ages.

Anna Wilkerson

Anna Wilkerson '24 is a Sociology major, Sports Studies & Exercise Science minor. On campus, she is a student trainer and a volunteer for the L.I.G.H.T. House - a theme house. In summer 2023, Anna conducted research about education inequalities in the medical field in collaboration with a research team in Copenhagen and Stockholm. 

Elizabeth Camp

Elizabeth Camp '25 is majoring in Biology with a minor in Sports Studies and Exercise Science at St. Lawrence University. Ellie is following the Pre-Physical Therapy track that St. Lawrence offers. She also is a part of the women's lacrosse team at SLU and has always had a passion for sports, exercising, etc., ever since her childhood. She interned at Cioffredi & Associates Physical Therapy over the 2023 summer where she served as a Rehabilitation Aide and shadowed under multiple well-known doctors of PT.

Emma Rothe

Emma Rothe '24 is majoring in chemistry and minoring in sports studies/exercise science. She chose this project for the opportunity to address real-world issues through laboratory research and to strengthen her research skills. She plans to follow along with the project throughout her undergraduate years at St. Lawrence University and is excited to see where the project goes in the future. Emma is also involved in the ACS chapter at St. Lawrence and is a member of the women's cross country and track & field teams. 

Lauren Donohue

Lauren Donohue, '21, is a Psychology major with minors in Sports Studies and Exercise Science and Film Studies. She is a Senior Fellow in the Admissions Office and is working on a SYE that is an extension of her summer fellowship. She hopes to go to graduate school and one day be a Psychology Professor or something surrounding that field. She is a captain of the Women's Varsity Volleyball team and spends her free time writing articles for the HerCampus online women's magazine.
