Throughout my internship with USA Tournament Series, I had the privilege of working alongside a team while also having to lead interns of my own. I was fortunate enough to travel around the state of Massachusetts for baseball events while also marketing for the company.
I am grateful for this opportunity as I learned more about the business of marketing. Not only did I get to experience the industry of sports marketing, but I also was able to grow as an individual. Throughout the summer, I furthered my communication, leadership, and creative skills. I communicated with my supervisor about my tasks for the week and related the information back to my interns. I also communicated at tournaments with umpires, fans, and directors. I had the opportunity to be a site director at tournaments and make sure everything ran smoothly while keeping everyone satisfied with the experience. Lastly, I designed graphics and created posts on social media that furthered my creative skills.
I am very fortunate for the opportunity I had this summer and am very thankful for SLU and the Jennifer W. Knowles ’89 and Robert M. Knowles P’21, ’23, ’25 Internship Fellowship for making this possible.
