Moises Peralta

Moises Peralta '26 was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, before moving to and subsequently growing up in the South Bronx, NY. Majoring in creative writing with a minor in computer science, Moises has fostered a deep appreciation for all things storytelling. While interested in film, literature, and art, Moises has always been most captivated by how stories are told digitally through the realm of video games. And It's precisely that which Moises has based his research project on.

Kathryn Pogue

Kathryn 'Kate' Pogue is in the class of 2026 at St. Lawrence University. She is double majoring in chemistry and English with a focus in creative writing. During her 2024 summer internship with Dr. Tartakoff, Kate discovered an passion in organic synthesis, especially surrounding pharmaceutical research and development. She hopes to continue her chemotherapeutic research into her junior and senior years at St. Lawrence, making it part of her Senior Year Experience. Following her graduation from St. Lawrence, Kate plans on completing a PhD in Organic Chemistry. 

Nicole Franco

 Nicole is graduating with the class of 2025, majoring in Political Science and English. She is minoring in Gender & Sexuality studies, which constitutes the primary frameworks she employs in her academic writing and thinking. She is interested in using critical theory to understand how power shapes normative ways of thinking and knowing, literature, and politics.

Abby Barton

Abby Barton is a member of the class of 2026 and is majoring in English and philosophy. Her interest in classical literature began after taking courses in Greek and Roman mythology through the English department. In addition, Abby began studying Latin in the summer of 2023 with professor of English, Dr. Ann Hubert. This project enabled her to combine the study of classical literature with the study of classical language.

Skylar White

I'm Skylar White, a class of 2026 student studying creative writing and global studies. I am interested in pursuing a career in multimedia journalism after college. I'm passionate about social and environmental justice and want to use my career to shed light on marginalized groups and issues. On campus, I am the chief copy editor of the Hill News, St. Lawrence's student newspaper. I'm also a guide for the SLU Outdoor Program, a member of the Outing Club, and an avid lover of the outdoors.

Hello, I'm Madeline Dolge, Class of 2025! I'm an English and Art and Art History double major, interested in pursuing writing and teaching after graduation, with a specific interest in the intersection between literature, the arts, and the environment. 

My dedication to sustainable living is evident in my passion for homesteading and organic farming. I aspire to explore the values of sustainable farming in my teaching and writing, focusing on topics such as environmental mindfulness, seasonal eating, and global dependence on commercial food systems. 

Colin Young

My name is Colin Young and I'm part of the St. Lawrence Class of 2025. I'm a captain on the Cross Country team this fall and a member of the Track and Field team. I'm a Peer Tutor In Computer Science and Statistics and a member of multiple clubs including Campus Kitchens and Alive Poet's Society. I enjoy reading, playing guitar, hiking, chess, and I’m an avid nordic skier. I'm looking to pursue a career in a psychology-related field and have a strong interest in writing, coaching, and data science. My experience is in PR, Social Media, Research, and Communications.

Galen Halasz, class of 2027, is an intended English and Music double major. He is passionate about the arts and aspires to be a professional writer and musician. He is a varsity cross-country and track athlete, member of the Choral Society, and regularly participates in intramural soccer, the nordic ski club, open mic nights, and chess club. His creative writing has been featured in the Laurentian Magazine, and he was a winner of the Bradley R. Evers Outstanding First-Year Student Award.

Annalise Panici

I am currently a junior at St Lawrence University studying creative writing and psychology. On campus I am coordinator and founder of our wellness program's SLU Flow Project, which engages students in functional movement to build community and practical nervous system regulation skills. I am also a member of the Lighthouse, which is a theme house living community dedicated to providing mental wellness resources to our campus (and the greater St Lawrence area).

Molly Doyle

My name is Molly Jane Doyle. I am a student at St. Lawrence University as a member of the class of 2025. I am double-majoring in Geology and English with a concentration in creative writing. Here on campus, I am involved as a past president of The Advocates, executive of the PPGA club, a staff writer for The Hill News, member of the rock club, and a member of the Epsilon Kappa chatper of Chi Omega. When I am not in school, I adore being outside in any way possible. I am a ski instructor in the winter and an childrens camping guide in the summers.

Glendalys Medina

Glendalys Medina is a computer science and creative writing double major here at St.Lawrence University. She spends her time working as the Event Coordinator for La Sociedad, a club dedicated to amplifying Latinx voices in the SLU community. She also is one of this year's Townhouse Coordinators so you can find her building community amongst the senior living space. 

Daniil Kim

I am a graduate of the class of 2022. I majored in English and minored in Film and Representation Studies. Born in the Far East of Russia, I came to St. Lawrence to follow my dreams and pursue my interest in the field of film and media. During my journey, I realized that my cultural background has opened a path to connecting with others, listening to others, and sharing achievements we all perished throughout our life. My empathy and compassion led me to start in a new field of sales and financial services.

 

 

Lizzie O'Keeffe

Lizzie O'Keeffe graduated from St. Lawrence in 2022 with a major in English Literature. Lizzie spent the summer in D.C. working as an editorial intern at the Daily Caller, an online news outlet covering a wide range of topics, from U.S. and world politics to the latest in entertainment news. She had the opportunity to be trained as an editor during the internship, and as a result gained a first-hand look behind the scenes of the fast-moving online news publication.

Hannah Rutkowski

Hannah Rutkowski '22 is a writer and editor who majored in English and minored in film studies and gender studies during her time at St. Lawrence. An avid book lover, she is interested in pursuing the publishing industry, and is exploring what parts of the industry she might fit into through internships with St. Lawrence Magazine, The Adirondack Review, and soon Slag Glass City. Rutkowski will be attending Depaul University this fall for an MFA in Writing and Publishing where she'll be working with Slag Glass City and taking in all that Chicago has to offer.

Paige Meshcon

Paige Meshcon is a part of the class of 2023 and is double majoring in English and Psychology, with an Education minor. Her research combines all her areas of study, as she explores both the subject area of English and the psychological developments students experience during high school. After graduating from St. Lawrence, Meshcon plans to earn her masters of teaching, with the intention of becoming a high school English teacher.

Sam Cohen

Samantha (Sam) Cohen is a member of the class of ‘23, and she is an English Literature and Business in the Liberal Arts major. She became interested in studying Shakespeare after taking a course on Shakespeare’s Roman plays at St. Lawrence University. She plans to continue the work she started during the SLU Fellowship by writing an article about Shakespeare’s Roman and Greek plays during her senior year.

Alexandra Hill

Alexandra Hill '23, born and raised in Los Angeles, California, is a triple major in English, French, and mathematics, with a minor in statistics. Her passion for mental health is a keystone for much of her academia; she presented her research on mental health accessibility in writing centers at a national conference in 2021, and her three senior honors projects each respectively analyze mental health in literature in unique ways.
