ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ

Peace be upon you, is the meaning of the Arabic phrase I wrote. Whenever we begin writing something in Arabic we always start with saying this historical phrase, I’m Hassan Madkour Born and lived my whole life in Cairo, Egypt. I’ve been brought up in an Islamic community where I learned to balance everything in my life and that’s what my religion is all about. I’ve played squash since I was five following the footsteps of my father and my grandfather. Coming here to SLU is a dream come true, I visualized this dream of receiving a scholarship to the squash team since I was fourteen following the fellow Egyptian squash players who joined this community long before I did, I came here to SLU looking forward to pursuing my dreams inside the court and as well as balancing with my Business and Psychology major. Can’t be more excited for the next few years here at Slu.
