Eva Grover ’24, from Hailey, Idaho, is pursuing a major in Government and minors in Economics and African Studies. Spring ’23 she participated in SLU’s Kenya Semester Program and completed an internship with the human rights organization HAKI Africa. Here on campus she is involved in a variety of honors societies and leadership positions such as ODK, PSA, and serves on the executive board for the Beta Beta Chapter of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Interested in multi-party politics, political corruption, and global democracy trends, she spent her summer under the advisory of Dr. Mert Kartal looking at issues of corruption and populism in Eastern Europe with a specific focus on Estonia and the Netherlands.
