Hello!
My name is Eszter Keszthelyi, and I’m originally from Budapest, Hungary. I am currently pursuing a major in Computer Science as part of the 3+2 Engineering program at St. Lawrence University, with plans to graduate in 2027.
Before coming to St. Lawrence, I attended the United World College (UWC) in Hong Kong, where I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program—an experience that deepened my global perspective and curiosity for interdisciplinary learning.
Beyond academics, I’m passionate about scuba diving, Hungarian folk and Brazilian dance, reading (especially classic literature), and playing both the cello and guitar.
This past summer, I had the opportunity to conduct research under the mentorship of Dr. Pirbhai, focusing on the design and construction of a clinostat—a device used to simulate microgravity. This hands-on project combined mechanical design, electronics, and programming, and has deepened my interest in engineering applications for space exploration. It reaffirmed my commitment to creating technology that can contribute to meaningful scientific advancement, both in orbit and on Earth.
