Hello! My name is Ellie Potts, I’m a rising senior from Arlington, VA. I am a chemistry and mathematics double major currently conducting research on iron-based complexes for use in redox flow batteries. As a 2026 summer fellow, I have been working in Dr. Oldacre’s Lab working on synthesizing and analyzing electrochemical reversibility of iron-based complexes. Beginning in the fall I will continue this research looking at stability and applicability of these compounds and similar ones. Post-graduation I am interested in applying to PhD programs in materials science and engineering to continue with my interest in clean energy technologies. For extracurricular activities, I work as a peer tutor, as a general chemistry peer pod TA and as an organic chemistry lab TA. I am also the president of the SLU American Chemical Society club and chapter president of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
