As a Summer Associate, I worked on several dozen active projects across countless different industries, and ended up beating my KPI targets by around 60%. I got to take initiative sourcing and reaching out to senior executives all over the world, build real relationships with experts, and sell calls across all kinds of client verticals.
Going into the summer, I wanted to actually turn my communication and sales skills into something real. Being surrounded by people who do this for a living, every single day, made that happen way faster than I could've on my own.
But what made this role uniquely valuable was the exposure to live market dynamics. I conducted initial market research for every single project, mapping value chains and understanding how businesses interconnect. I gained firsthand insight into why hyperscalers are dominating investor attention right now, and how the weakening yen is reshaping capital flows and deal activity in Japan. Every project was essentially a crash course in a new industry, and I am so thankful for this opportunity and everyone who made this possible.
