Philosophy

I am a junior at St. Lawrence University, majoring in government with a minor in philosophy. This past summer, I interned in the U.S. Senate on Capitol Hill. While I am interested in pursuing a career more focused on foreign relations, this amazing opportunity provided me with vital inside knowledge of how the U.S. government operates. I look forward to applying the knowledge and skills I have gained from this experience in all of my future pursuits. In the past, I have always gravitated towards leadership, whether that be in my coursework, extracurriculars, or jobs.

 I am a Pre-law, Government major, with minors in Philosophy and Sociology. On campus I am an Admission's Ambassador, Secretary of the Thelomathesian Society, AWARE Trained Advocate, and member of Kappa Delta Sigma Sorority. Additionally, this upcoming spring I'm studying abroad Vienna, Austria. 

I am a Senior and am majoring in economics and business in the liberal arts with a minor in philosophy. Aside from my academics, I am captain of the Track and Field team and compete primarily in the high hurdles. I am also a peer tutor for the economics department and am working part-time for RTS, the company I interned with this past summer.

Haylei Coolican is a member of the St. Lawrence Class of 2023. She is studying for a combined major in Environmental Studies and Sociology with a minor in Philosophy, with the hopes of one day becoming an advocate for underserved and immigrant communities around the world. Haylei believes that many societal issues can be solved with the mind of an environmentalist. Haylei is also the captain of the Women's Cross Country team and an Admissions Ambassador on campus. Niamh Creedon-Carey is planning to graduate this April in the class of 2021. She's majoring in history and government with an interest in law and politics. This project inspired her to pursue a senior honors thesis in history on the topic of prison reform activism in the North Country. This project affirmed Niamh's passion for local history and helped her to develop research and writing skills.
