Born in Egypt, and of Russian-Austrian heritage, Alisa is a Mathematics, Geology and Computer Science student at St. Lawrence University. She co-led a six-person field team at Nigardsbreen Glacier in Norway, collecting and analyzing over 500 glacial striations to refine spatial classifications of basal ice dynamics. As a Digital Scholarship Assistant, she introduced AI, photogrammetry, and extended reality tools into university research and teaching.
Moises Peralta '26 was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, before moving to and subsequently growing up in the South Bronx, NY. Majoring in creative writing with a minor in computer science, Moises has fostered a deep appreciation for all things storytelling. While interested in film, literature, and art, Moises has always been most captivated by how stories are told digitally through the realm of video games. And It's precisely that which Moises has based his research project on.
I am a recent Class of 2024 graduate with a BS in Statistics and a minor in Computer Science. My academic interests are heavily focused in pursuing statistical applications in the fields of environmental conservation and/or anthropology. Currently, I am one of two Melvin Ember interns at Yale's Human Relations Area Files (HRAF), spending most of my day-to-day life conducting cross-cultural research and performing analysis and data collection/entry for the eHRAF database.
My name is Jack Capizzi. I was born in Connecticut but moved to Toronto, Canada following my graduation from high school. I am a junior at St. Lawrence majoring in Economics and minoring in Computer Science. My strong passion for technology and business has led me to be interested in pursuing a career in either the tech or financial industry.
I am Mirko Dibra, my hometown is Shkoder, Albania, but I have been studying abroad in the past couple of years in Japan and now the US. I have always had this deep passion for Mathematics and number in General so from a young age I have been engaged in numerous Mathematical Olympiads like EMC, Albanian National Math Olympiad, BMO. This passion for numbers has been reflected also in my work goals where I want to work Quantitative Analysis, or even as an Actuary. Hence, I am planning to major in Mathematics and Computer Science.
I am a junior from Wolfeboro, New Hampshire with the hopes of becoming a coastal engineer. I did my research this summer through the Observing the Ocean REU at Texas A&M University working with Dr. Spencer Jones.

My name is Alyssa, and I'm a student in the class of 2024. I’m double majoring in mathematics and statistics. My research interests consist of different applications of mathematics, including theoretical mathematics, and statistics applications using R Studio. After St. Lawrence University, I plan to study mathematics in graduate school and pursue a career in mathematics.
Eduardo Puerta, ’22, is an undergraduate student from Venezuela and Costa Rica majoring in Mathematics and with a Minor in Computer Science. He is interested in industrial engineering and seeks to pursue the 3+2 Engineering Combined program. His work as an Admissions Ambassador and a Community Assistant on campus have inspired his curiosity in applying mathematical methods to his working environment.
