Music

Emma Wilson is a undergraduate student majoring in both Political Science and Music. On campus, she is a member of the Laurentian Singers, an international and national touring coeducational choir, Delta Delta Delta (ΔΔΔ), Student Council, Student Government and Vice President of running club. She is originally from the Grand Canyon state and loves to read any philosophy she can get her hands on, stay active, and model.

Will is a class of 2026 Music major with a PCA/DMF double minor. He is a member of the Java Barn theme house and an avid lover of all things music-related. As a member of the Java Barn, he served as an audio technician, mixing live bands behind the audio console. Will is also an amateur musician, playing in various student bands and the Modern band ensemble. His goal is to work within the music industry, specifically with musicians, either in Artists and Repertoire or tour management. His experience both at St.

I am a recent graduate from St. Lawrence University with a major in Music and minors in Asian Studies, Communications, and Digital Media & Film. At St. Lawrence, I served as the president, talent buyer, and production manager for the java barn venue, booking 25+ touring acts a year. I served as a chair of the association for campus entertainment, as well as manager of the Canoe House and Munro Family Climbing Wall employee. In the past 5 years, I garnered significant experience in the live event space, specializing in booking and production.

Eva Kuliyeva, Class of 2029, is majoring in Psychology and Music with a minor in Spanish at St. Lawrence University. Originally from the Bronx, New York, Eva is a musician and student interested in psychology, neuroscience, and the arts. At St. Lawrence, she works as a First-Year Program Intern, supporting student engagement and helping create meaningful experiences for incoming students. She is also a member of Laurentian Singers and participates in the university’s music community through vocal performance.

Amanda Gagne is a member of the Class of 2025 at St Lawrence University. She is a double major in Computer Science and Music. She recently completed a Research Fellowship through the St. Lawrence University Fellows Program investigating the potential role of Artificial Intelligence in hardening software and defending against cyber-attacks. The dynamic future of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity are of particular interest to Amanda. Her goal is to use the knowledge and skills developed during this fellowship in the future as she begins down her career path. 

Galen Halasz, class of 2027, is an intended English and Music double major. He is passionate about the arts and aspires to be a professional writer and musician. He is a varsity cross-country and track athlete, member of the Choral Society, and regularly participates in intramural soccer, the nordic ski club, open mic nights, and chess club. His creative writing has been featured in the Laurentian Magazine, and he was a winner of the Bradley R. Evers Outstanding First-Year Student Award.

Southeastern Europe is a mix of ethnicities, religions and traditions existing on the foundation of different cultural practices and politics.  The centuries of Ottoman rule on the Balkan peninsula had a profound effect on the culture and populations of the region. As a person born and raised in the Balkans, I have been fascinated by the nuances in the culture -what makes us different and what makes us similar, since my earliest childhood. My journey focused mostly on exploring cultures through music, food, fashion, tradition, history and lifestyles.

Annan (Yanna) Yue graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2020 with a double degree in Psychology and Music. She is interested in Counseling and Developmental Psychology. The courses she took in psychology and her interest in counseling led her to this project. For her future career plans, Yanna is devoted to do academic research on developmental psychology and she is committed to pursuing a Ph.D. degree after finishing a Master’s degree.

Yanfei Mao' 21 is a senior student who comes from China with double majoring in Psychology and Music. She has been interested in positive psychology and especially the relationship between character strength and positive outcomes in academic context. Currently, she continues working on this project by analyzing another dataset from MTurk and tries to create an appropriate strength intervention in academic context based on the results to improve college students’ academic achievements and happiness.
