My name is Zoie Lehman, I am 21 years old, and am a current senior at St. Lawrence University. I was raised by a single mother in Lewis County, New York. It has been my mom and I my entire life, and our story has not always been for the faint hearted. My biological father walked out before I was a year old, and for my mom, raising a child on her own was not easy.

She hopes to combine her love for archaeology and scuba diving in the future, studying marine archaeology and or doing marine preservation in any way. Taking care of nature and the creatures in it, is a high priority in Abby's interests and will be the direction she plans on going in the future.

Dr. Estevez Lab (2021) St. Lawrence University

Being raised by a single mother in a provincial Russian town, I am adept at setting goals and striving to achieve them, despite the challenges I have encountered. As a minority within my own country’s administrative division, Adygea Republic, I have always strived for diversity and inclusion of identities, experiences, and ideas. With such a mindset and a strong passion for natural sciences, I sought opportunities to enrich my scientific environment and learn from the expertise of an international community.

Hi, I'm Alessandro Marangelli '24 and I use He/ They pronouns. I am an International student from Italy and a UWC alumn. I am double majoring in Anthropology and Environmental Studies, and minoring in Global Studies. I decided to study these fields because I am interested in the intersection of environmental, cultural, spiritual, physical, and social sustainability because I am a firm believer that there is no real sustainability without all of them and equality and equity.
