George Persinger is a Class of 2029 Economics major at St. Lawrence University, originally from Darien, CT. He is actively involved within the SLU community as a member of the varsity lacrosse team, balancing a full academic course load with a year-round Division III athletic schedule that has sharpened his time management, discipline, and ability to work toward shared goals within a high-performance team culture.
Outside the classroom, George has built a strong foundation in finance through his internship at Pilotship Partners in Rowayton, CT, where he developed advanced Excel skills in data analysis and financial modeling, gained familiarity with the Bloomberg Terminal, and researched private equity, venture capital, and hedge fund managers to help identify capital for clients. He has also interned at Get Joy, shadowing the CEO on daily operations, and worked as a dockhand at Rowayton Seafood, sharpening his customer relations and teamwork skills.
Beyond his professional experience, George is a longtime member of Bass-A-Palooza Development, helping run an annual fundraising event that has generated over $1 million for local charities. Balancing academics, athletics, and hands-on experience across finance and community service, George has developed strong analytical, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
