Frankie is part of the class of 2022 at SLU and majored in philosophy and mathematics. He has research interests in phenomenology, philosophy of mind, and cognitive science. In particular, he is interested in sense-making, especially from the perspective of embodied cognition. During the summer of 2022, Frankie designed and conducted a historical-philosophical research project on the life and work of the Chilean biologist and philosopher Francisco Varela, an early pioneer of a variety of embodied cognition called the "enactive approach." Frankie is currently a first year student in the funded MA in philosophy program at Georgia State University. He plans on beginning a PhD in philosophy in the fall of 2024.
