Evelyn Bibbins '24 is an Environmental Studies/Geology and Estudios Hispanicos major and a Francophone Studies minor, interested specifically in environmental health from a global perspective.

In addition to making the Dean's List each semester, in Fall of 2022 she recieved the opportunity to study at Universidad de Costa Rica in San José, Costa Rica. She spent time living with a host family, improving her Spanish through lived experience as well as academically, and took French courses from the hispanophone  perspective. As well, she continued her place on the Dean's List during this semester.

In the Spring of 2023, she was inducted into the St. Lawrence University chapter of Sigma Gamma Epsilon, the geology honor society.

Throughout her time at St. Lawrence University Evelyn has maintained her certification as a New York State Certified B-EMT. She has worked more than 3,000 hours with the St. Lawrence University Emergency Medical Services Team, and in the Spring of 2023 she was elected as Director of the agency.

While her academic interests include public health, agroecology, and paleontology, she takes personal interest in handmade textile work, from fiber production to garment creation. She places emphasis on experiential learning opportunities in order to prepare for career paths which fall within her interests.
