Elise Heppell, Class of 2027, is majoring in physics, mathematics and environmental studies at St Lawrence University. She's interested in the intersection of these subjects and in using her background in these disciplines to do work in relation to climate change and sustainability. She's had a lifelong love and curiosity for math, which she entertained in a recent fellowship project, Exploring Properties of Reversed-Digit Pairs. Outside of the classroom, she grades and tutors for intro physics courses, and is an active member of the ultimate frisbee club, photography club and Environmental Action Organization, where she's helping lead a campus trail restoration initiative. She can also be found skiing, reading, walking in the woods or working on a jigsaw puzzle.
