Tusiime Louise Mugisha is a member of the Class of 2029 at St. Lawrence University. Originally from Kampala Uganda, she has always had high hopes in being one of the innovators of change in the Health sector of her country. With these aspirations, she completed her high school education at the United World Colleges, UWC Dilijan where she pursued an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Having achieved this, she is now pursing a degree in Neuroscience at St Lawrence University which also being involved in organizations like the African Student Union as well as the Student Council.

In order to gain experience, Louise has interned at the Microbiology and Pathology Laboratory of Mulago Hospital in Kampala, Uganda where she gained hands on experience, putting the theory she learned in a classroom into practice. Additionally, she attended a fellowship by Empower Through Health, a public health organization set to make a difference in Eastern Uganda. Here, she participated in research on depression stigma in the rural communities of the region 

She is very enthusiastic in continuing her journey in the health care field and hopes to continue gaining experience will at her time at St Lawrence University
