Between The Shores
For summer of 2025, I have worked on polishing a first draft of the feature-length screenplay "A Mediterranean Tale" and developing a second draft for the same one. This experience has enhanced and refined my skills as a creative writer, in addition to improving my storytelling skills. Moreover, writing this script has helped me reconnect with my inner self, my roots, an my background of being an international student.
This screenplay follows the story of "Diaa," an Egyptian teenager who goes to Italy to continue his education but faces a lot of challenges including cultural shock and identity crisis. He sees the world in a different way when he meets his lover "Anna" which their relationship captures themes of interracial relationships, background differences, and The East vs The West dilemma.
Professor Fahr helped putting me on the right track of controlling and developing the drafts. Her feedback was very helpful for the storyline and the dialogues that various characters have.
