Class Year:

I am Jingchen Yu, from Changsha, Hunan, China, a student in St. Lawrence University.

I was born and grown up in Changsha, which is a city located in south central of China, and the capital city of Hunan province. Changsha has more than 3000 years history, but all of the city destroyed in the World War II. However, these vicissitudes of Changsha build up unique spirits among all of the Changsha people. In fact, the spirits are carved in my bone. It is no matter how hard it is, we can endure them; and do to things flexible and impatience.

I love Han traditional costumes. Through the study of Han costume, I can learn Chinese history from another side. Different dynasty had different forms of costume, and different pattern on the clothes have different meanings.

For me, food is one of the most important things. I enjoy trying food from different area, but my favorite food is Chinese.
