Galen Halasz, class of 2027, is an intended English and Music double major. He is passionate about the arts and aspires to be a professional writer and musician. He is a varsity cross-country and track athlete, member of the Choral Society, and regularly participates in intramural soccer, the nordic ski club, open mic nights, and chess club. His creative writing has been featured in the Laurentian Magazine, and he was a winner of the Bradley R. Evers Outstanding First-Year Student Award. At home in Saranac Lake, he is a featured performer at the Third Thursday Art Walk and participates in the musical community at the Saranac Lake Hootennany open mic series.
