My name is Yanisa Promkaewtor. I am an international student from the north of Thailand at St. Lawrence University. I am a sophomore intending to do double majors in the Digital Media and Film major and the Psychology major. I have been passionate about Film Studies since I was taking a Film International Baccalaureate course in high school. I found cinema as a powerful industry in spreading creativity and stories. I dream of being part of truthful storytelling and promoting an independent cinema. I love exploring and getting to know new cultures. Leaving the places I lived before was always sad, but the new journeys ahead always excite me!
I have gained global understanding by living in a diverse boarding school in Singapore for 2 years and exploring many different countries. I have gathered wide-range of experiences in different workplaces. I worked as a workshop facilitator for a Singaporean plastic recycling organization and supported them in a production part. I volunteered in a Singaporean independent cinema to gain more understanding about independent cinema, watched a variety of independent movies from around the world, and theater operations. Recently, I worked as a content director at an international surf competition called Grom Patrol Khao Lak Surf Festival 2024. Therefore, I am adaptable to new working environments and open-minded to new tasks. I am passionate about films and enthusiastic in learning new things.

This project is a film photography project about Student Mail Center. The photos were shot on Ilford HP5 Plus 400. The repetitive shapes of boxes and envelopes elaborate on the tedious working routine of student workers in there.
