3SIX Business Solutions - Intern

During the summer of 2026, I completed a three month internship at 3SIX Business Solutions, a software development company located in Mozambique. As a Software Engineering and Product Management intern, I worked during the pre-launch of Siversa Cloud, an ERP platform used in smartphones and tablets. This experience allowed me to see how software development and product management come together to solve social issues. 

During this period, I worked on a project called AfriLink, a platform designed to connect local farmers and sellers with global buyers. The inspiration to work on this project emerged after seeing local sellers rely on social media platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook to reach customers. So, through AfriLink, I wanted to explore how technology can be used to enhance market access for local producers and sellers. To develop this project, I applied skills in Python, Java, HTML and CSS and JavaScript, helping me strengthen my practical experience in MVP development, testing, and debugging. I also improved my problem-solving, risk analysis, and time-management, skills that I will apply as I continue seeking career growth. 

This experience has reinforced my interest in Software Engineering, showing me how Computer Science and Economics can complement one another in developing solutions to real-world problems. I plan to bring these lessons back to St. Lawrence University through my coursework, projects and internships. I hope to continue developing AfriLink and explore other technology solutions to address challenges around me. 

I am grateful for this opportunity, it allowed me to return home to apply my academic knowledge to solve issues and return to St. Lawrence with stronger technical skills and greater clarity about my career goals. This opportunity has strengthened my confidence in using technology to create meaningful solutions.
