Recycle Track Systems (RTS)

As an intern in the finance department, I assisted on and completed a wide range of projects. These included calculating COGS and margins on national clients, updating KPI files with consolidated customer site retention information, assisted in the cleanup of corporate card transactions YTD, mapped which current NYC customers fell into 20 regions of the city, tracked which months past invoices were from to help clean up accrual records, and spread financials from the 10-K and 10-Q reports of key public competitors.

My work in RTS during the summer of 2022 is constructed by two parts. One part is daily pricing items. Every morning when I opened my inbox, I would see a list of items that were waiting for me to be priced. Another part is the projects my managers gave me. Some were simple, but some were designed to challenge me and sharpen my professional skill. Below is listed my major achievement during summer 2022:

As the Legal Intern at Recycle Track Systems, no two days were ever the same. My responsibilities ranged from writing and reading live contracts to sitting in meeting with clients and other departments at RTS. I was lucky enough to be a part of the biggest project that the company has to date and assisted with the application for the possible client. Every day in the office, I was able to and trusted to make choices and carry them out for the company. Looking back on the experience and the goals that I set at the beginning of the summer, I met and exceeded all of them.

This summer, I had the opportunity to get a job with the help of St. Lawrence. I worked as a marketing manager for Lindsey Cassella and Nicolle Portilla. It was a great experience where I learned a lot about corporate life's internal operations and realized that I had marketing skills that I didn't know. RTS's mission as a company is to reduce waste by promoting avoiding landfills. RTS does this by hiring experts on waste and sustainability who direct clients and companies in the right direction to fill waste and sustainability issues.
