I am Leeming Chen from Taiwan where there is beautiful nature, nice cuisine, and friendly people. As an FLTA( Fulbright Foreign Language Teacher Assistant), I mainly teach Mandarin in the World languages, Cultures and Media Department. In addition to teaching, I also speak Taiwanese and Japanese which I have studied for a long time. Furthermore, I went to Japan to pursue my master’s (should be no space before s ) degree in cultural anthropology focusing on the ethnography of Taiwanese visiting Japan at the University of Tokyo where I studied for my Ph.D program. Thanks to the nature of the discipline which requires listening and communicating with people, I can now use these skills to help understand my own students. I would describe myself a lifelong learner who loves to try new things. I like puzzles, all kind of outdoor activities and traveling! The world is so big that you will find me either learning something new or on my way to different places.
