Semester:
Summer 2025
Description

This past summer, I was the birding intern for littleGrasse Foodworks in Canton, NY. This internship developed my bird knowledge, artistic abilities, and project development skills. I worked independently and also collaborated with local professors on various projects.

I began each day with a bird walk on the trail, surveying and recording all the species I heard and saw. I would then work on a variety of projects such as painting trail signs, designing a trail map, creating a welcome kiosk with informative posters, and researching how to create a good trail experience. On Saturdays, I would help out in the garden with the two farm interns.

My time at littleGrasse was incredibly valuable and I am grateful to Bob Washo, Flip Fillipi, and St. Lawrence University for allowing me this opportunity!
