Sophia Wirtz ’27 is a Business and Global Studies double major with a minor in Public Health at St. Lawrence University. Her interests focus on nonprofit leadership, global health, and the ways organizations can improve access to care and support for families. During her internship with the Heartfelt Dreams Foundation, she contributed to fundraising, donor outreach, patient storytelling, scholarship review, and planning for the organization’s charity golf tournament. Her previous internship was with WAJAMAMA in Zanzibar, where she supported maternal health, cervical cancer screening, nutrition education, and community outreach programs. These experiences strengthened her interest in mission-driven work that connects business strategy with public health. After graduation, Sophia hopes to pursue work involving nonprofit management, global health, or social-impact strategy.
