Green Mountain Farm-To-School (GMFTS)

Green Mountain Farm-to-School (GMFTS) is a non-profit organization based in Newport, Vermont. They are founded on the mission to promote economic viability by integrating local food, schools, and community. GMFTS boasts three programs to carry out these missions: Farm-to-School, The Lunchbox, and Farm Direct.

During my internship, I had three main responsibilities:

Green Mountain Farm-to-School (GMFTS) is an environmental education non-profit that strives to connect local communities in VT with their food system through education and locally sourced, fresh food. The organization has two main focuses: food-based education and delivering healthy foods to its community members through the implementation of a food hub and food truck.
