Bailey Smith

Bailey Smith ’27 is a Finance major with a Math minor interested in how economics connects with politics and public policy. She interned with the American Legislative Exchange Council, where she worked on policy research and analysis. Through her internship, Bailey has researched central banking, global investment, and how financial systems influence government decisions. These experiences have shaped her interest in the link between markets and policy. She plans to pursue a career in government, finance, or policy analysis.

Azaa Regmi ’28, from Kathmandu, Nepal, graduated from Rato Bangala School in 2024. She is pursuing a double major in Statistics and Finance, with aspirations for a career in investments. At St. Lawrence, Azaa brings her outgoing personality and leadership skills to campus life as a member of the Varsity Squash Team, a chair in the Thelomathesian Society (student government), an Admissions Ambassador, an executive member of Literacy for Nepal, Vice President of the ASIA Club, and a Thrive mentor for the first-year class.

JJ Humenay

JJ Humenay ’26 is from Beaconsfield, Québec and graduated from Portsmouth Abbey School in 2022. He is majoring in Finance and is interested in pursuing a career in investment banking. During his time at St. Lawrence, JJ has been a four-year member of the varsity baseball team, where he competes as a pitcher. He is also a two-time recipient of Liberty League All-Academic Team honors and values hard work, discipline, and being a supportive teammate both on and off the field.


 

Luke Hughes

My name is Luke Hughes, and I'm a junior from Pelham, New York, pursuing a double major in business and finance. For high school, I attended Waterville Valley Academy. I'm also an active member of Beta Theta Pi on campus. This past summer, I interned at The Space in Denver, Colorado, where I gained valuable skills and hands-on experience that will support my goal of building a successful career in finance after graduation.

Velma Monteiro is a junior majoring in Finance and Business with a minor in Communications. Her interests in the finance and business sector are diverse ranging from banking, financial literacy, private equity, financial and managerial accounting, corporate finance, and administration and management. She has nurtured a background in regulatory and policy analysis, compliance monitoring, strategic evaluation and research-reporting skills with the Central Bank of Timor-Leste (BCTL, in official language) as a Finance Intern.

Shota Kubota

I have built my foundation on balancing academics and athletics, always striving for excellence in both. Born in the United States and raised in Japan, I attended an international school after returning to Japan, which gave me a global perspective and the ability to understand and respect diverse values. Alongside my studies, I played baseball in a traditional Japanese setting, where I developed strong discipline and self-control which are qualities that help me serve as a bridge between Japan and the world.

Gregory Malsang

ENGLISH : 

Hi, my name is Grégory Malsang, I born in Strasbourg, France, where I spend almost 19 years. 

I'm a squash player, I started to play around 9, since that I traveled all around Europe for tournaments.

Then I traveled to Cairo, Egypt for a year, on of the main place to play squash around the world. 

And after that I joined SLU as a student athlete just after turning 22. 

Andraz Seslar

Andraz Seslar hails from Trbovlje, Slovenia, and is a former professional alpine skier. He completed his International Baccalaureate at UWC Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Currently, Andraz is a member of the Class of 2026 at St. Lawrence University, where he is pursuing a double major in Finance and Computer Science. He was honored with the Priest Scholarship Award, which recognizes the sophomore man with the highest academic achievement in his class. On campus, Andraz serves as the president of the Crown Royalties Investment Club, leading it alongside his fellow classmates.

Brenden O'Neil

Brenden O'Neil '25 majoring in Finance with a minor in Sports Studies and Exercise Science. Professional goals include working within athletic departments and professional sports franchises, making an impact on sales, financial decisions, and corporate partnerships. Completed internships within both the St. Lawrence University athletic department and the Buffalo Bisons, AAA team of the Toronto Blue Jays. Has worked within multiple departments, including sales, ticketing, customer services, and merchandise.

I am a passionate and hard-working sophomore at St. Lawrence University working towards a B.S. in an Interdisciplinary Study in Marketing and Finance. I am aiming to use my knowledge and experience of product marketing, social media analytics, content creation, consumer research strategies, strong leadership skills, and hard-working attitude in a Marketing/PR role post grad. Currently, I am an intern on the student marketing team at St. Lawrence, where I help create social media content for the school.
