Em Perez is a junior in the class of 2026. She is majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in psychology. In her most recent study, Em looked into the effects of mindfulness on emotional labor, such as depression and anxiety, to those in the general public. With an interest in the medical field, Em hopes to continue this research, furthering it to focus primarily on the Emergency Medical Service community and other high-stress medical jobs. Em hopes to become a cardiovascular surgeon and works as an Emergency Medical Technician.
My name is Tafadzwa Monalisa Musasa, a Zimbabwean student and UWC Davis Scholar. I came to SLU aspiring to take up the Biomedical Sciences major under the Pre-med track. However, after exploring Public Health classes, I have developed an understanding of the different facets of health and health improvement initiatives beyond clinical care. Now majoring in Biomedical Sciences and Public Health, I am privileged to be able to view health from different angles.
Andrew Bazuro is a member of the class of 2025 and is at St. Lawrence University pursuing a degree in Biomedical Science with a minor in Chemistry and Statistics. He has worked in several labs in the past and has most recently interned at Yale where he was able to work with an Associate Professor of Medicine. After graduation he hopes to attend graduate school and continue learning so that he can perform statistical analysis and perform biological research in the lab.
Paul Starliper '26 is majoring in Biomedical Sciences. He is following the pre-medical track in hopes of attending medical school and becoming a physician. Paul enjoys exploring various types of medicine and has had experience working/shadowing in palliative care, family medicine, and pediatric surgery. When not occupied by his studies, Paul is a biology teaching assistant as well as an admissions ambassador at St.Lawrence University. Paul also enjoys running, playing tennis, and skiing.
Nadine Manase is a senior from Tanzania, double majoring in Biomedical Sciences and Francophone Studies. Her passion for research and desire to use science to address global challenges led her to conduct summer research with Dr. Patrick Lutz, focusing on the development of sustainable plastics. Her interest in Francophone Studies sparked a study abroad journey to Toulouse, where she gained both research experience and completed an internship.
I am Al P. Logan, and I am a Liberian. I went to UWC East Africa, and those were some of the best years of my life. At SLU, I spend most of my time playing intramural soccer or volleyball and spending time with friends.
Grace Hodges is a senior at St. Lawrence. She is a biomedical science major and a chemistry/francophone studies dual minor from Toronto, Ontario. At SLU she is involved in Chi Omega, Beta Beta Beta, and is a TA for general biology. Following graduation, Grace hopes to attend law school.
My name is Kanonkela and I am a junior from Chienge, Zambia majoring in Biomedical Sciences, and minoring in Chemistry and Public Health. I have always loved doing research and contributing to the science world, and this made me take up the opportunity when it presented itself. I have continued doing the research into this fall.
Megan Nolan '25 is majoring in Biomedical Science, minoring in Chemistry, and aspires to work in the dental field. She helped assist in procedures performed by a general dentist, a prosthodontist, and a periodontist. In a future internship, she will be working with an orthodontist. After graduation, she plans to apply to dental school and eventually specialize in prosthodontics.
Ellison (Ellie) Stannard, Class of 2025, is a Public Health and Biomedical Science double major on a pre-medical track. She is interested in the complex relationships between the biological and social factors that shape the practice of health care and contribute to health outcomes on the individual and community levels. These interests led her to research at Dartmouth Health intended to improve the care of female patients and destigmatize women's health issues.
I am Michael Agyekum '26, I was born and raised in Ghana. I currently reside in the Bronx but here at SLU majoring in Biomedical sciences on the pre-med track due to my interest and goal of attending medical school after SLU.
