Julia Hammonds, Class of 2029 is a Political Science and Sociology double major with a minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies at St. Lawrence University. She finds purpose on campus through clubs and organizations that focus on connecting with and empowering her peers, such as The First-Generation Initiative, Planned Parenthood Generational Action and The Advocates. She as well values being off campus in the community and working for an outreach program that focuses on strengthening ties with the surrounding colleges to local schools to improve local students' accessibility to higher education. As a proud McNair Scholar Julia intends on pursuing graduate school for Feminist Studies to further her research on systemic inequalities in higher education.
