During my internship with ASHA by ADM, I gained hands-on experience in e-commerce, sales, and operations within the fashion industry. My day-to-day responsibilities included managing product inventory in Shopify, organizing and labeling merchandise, assisting with color merchandising, processing customer orders and shipments, maintaining inventory and sales spreadsheets, and supporting customer inquiries and order tracking. I also contributed to ASHA’s online presence by assisting with blog content, product descriptions, and Shopify formatting.
One of the biggest projects I worked on was my final presentation, which focused on a Western Expansion Strategy for Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I researched the Jackson Hole market, customer demographics, retail trends, and other luxury fashion brands that have successfully expanded into the area. I explored ways ASHA could grow its presence out West through trunk shows, wholesale opportunities, local partnerships, and targeted storytelling while still maintaining the brand’s existing identity.
Through this internship, I gained a better understanding of the behind the scenes work that goes into growing a fashion brand. It strengthened my skills in e-commerce, customer relations, merchandising, research, and brand strategy while giving me the opportunity to contribute to a small business for future growth.
