Semester:
Summer 2025
Description

This summer, I had the privilege of working in the Neurocritical Care Unit at Boston Children’s Hospital, where I gained valuable exposure to both patient care and clinical research. In the hospital setting, I was able to participate in patient rounds, which provided meaningful insight into how physicians, nurses, and other care providers collaborate to support critically ill patients.

In addition, I worked on a research project focused on evaluating the hospital’s stroke response protocols. By reviewing Epic patient charts and analyzing MRI imaging, I compiled two years’ worth of hospital-wide stroke data and helped assess the efficiency of current “stroke stat” procedures. This experience not only strengthened my understanding of how research can directly inform patient care but also deepened my appreciation for the teamwork and precision required in medicine.

Overall, this internship gave me an invaluable opportunity to learn in both the clinical and research settings, and I am extremely grateful for the support that made this experience possible.
