Class Year:

Ella Pecor '27 is an Environmental Studies and Political Science double major, with minors in African Studies and Outdoor Leadership.

Having grown up in rural Vermont, she is intrigued by the ways that small communities adapt to and problem-solve the environmental challenges they are faced with. Ella is passionate about strengthening local food systems as a means to enhance communities economically and sustainably. Ella has had the opportunity to engage with local food systems as an intern at Green Mountain Farm-to-School in Vermont and is actively involved in the Campus Kitchens Project at SLU. Outside of her work with food systems, Ella loves to spend time in the natural world as a Hadwen Guide for the Outdoor Program, exploring the power of language as WORD Studio Peer Tutor, and learning more about emergency medicine as a member of SLU EMS.

After graduation, Ella is excited to continue fostering her interest in local food systems and community resiliency.
