Description

During my enriching internship experience at the Department of Housing and Urban Development's office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Relations, I had the privilege of actively contributing to the agency's mission and policy efforts. As part of the team, I played a role in preparing briefing materials, memos, and reports to effectively communicate HUD's initiatives and positions to Congressional members and their staff.

My responsibilities also involved conducting in-depth research on legislative priorities and policy initiatives, providing valuable insights to senior staff. I had the opportunity to further develop my professional skills by assisting in drafting meticulous responses to congressional inquiries, ensuring strict adherence to department protocols. Additionally, engaging in outreach efforts with stakeholders and external organizations allowed me to actively gather input on crucial policy matters, making my internship journey both rewarding and instrumental in advancing HUD's impactful initiatives.
