During the summer of 2026, I had the extraordinary opportunity to live and work at Days End Farm Horse Rescue, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1989. DEFHR accepts neglected and abused horses from law enforcement and works to rehabilitate them so that they can eventually be adopted. In addition, DEFHR helps to educate the public about equine welfare.
