Investigator - Chittenden County Public Defender's Office

Summer 2026, I got to work in the Chittenden County Public Defender's Office in the role of an investigative intern. My job was to compile all the evidence that the police got on our clients. I take notes on what the police found and summarize it to the attorneys. The reason I do this is because the attorneys are already overloaded with cases since they are public defenders. I make their lives easier by summarizing the hours of evidence and highlighting issues during the collection of evidence that they are able to use in court.
