This summer, I had the opportunity to intern in Toulouse as an Alumni College Intern through the CIEE High School Summer Abroad (HSSA) program. In this role, I supported the Toulouse Center staff with field activities, administrative tasks, social media management, and facilitated communication between program assistants and leaders to improve overall program implementation.
This internship offered me valuable, hands-on experience in an office setting—an experience that will be invaluable as I prepare to enter the workforce. I developed key skills such as intercultural literacy, customer service, social media management, content creation, professional communication, and an understanding of core business operations. Additionally, I significantly improved my French communication skills in both formal and informal contexts, interacting with coworkers both inside and outside the office. This experience allowed me to apply the French I had learned in the classroom to real-world situations.
