This past summer, I was the birding intern for littleGrasse Foodworks in Canton, NY. This internship developed my bird knowledge, artistic abilities, and project development skills. I worked independently and also collaborated with local professors on various projects.
This summer, I had the privilege of interning at littleGrasse Foodworks, a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm that offers fully organic produce in Canton, NY.
This summer, I was given the incredible opportunity to return to littleGrasse Foodworks in Canton, NY, as Farm Manager. I built off of what I learned from my experience last year, focusing more on the organizational and functional part of the CSA: daily task coordination, learning the seasonal flow of a homestead, crop planning and rotation, and guiding another intern through the basics of small-scale, sustainable organic farming.
This past summer, I had the opportunity to intern at littleGrasse Foodworks, an organic community-sanctioned agriculture (CSA) farm in Canton, NY. During my internship I was able to deeply engage with sustainable, small-scale agriculture, and the community that surrounds it.
littleGrasse Foodworks farm is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm located in Canton, NY. It serves approximately 50 families in the North Country with fresh, organic vegetables through a free-choice share system.
I dedicated two full academic years to working with littleGrasse, volunteering at the farm once a week for two hours in the evening after classes. This opportunity granted me valuable lessons to participate in farming operations throughout the entire growing season.
