Working with Ghenova I was a business development intern, and I was responsible for helping with the comapny's current expansion into the U.S market. Ghenova is an engineering company that focuses on the development of large-scale projects such as naval vessels and power plants. My job was to research renewable energy projects located in the U.S that were in early stages of development, and report these back to my supervisor along with potential business contacts.
Working on this internship virtually was a challenging but rewarding experience. What made working in this way most difficult was probably the time difference between my home and Spain, but doing this also made me more adaptable and flexible. In terms of the internship itself, I enjoyed working with Ghenova because I felt like I was actually contributing to the company and valued as an employee. As someone who has grown up in the United States, it was really cool to work with a company from another country and help them learn more about the U.S market and the ways that they stand out and offer their expertise abroad.
